Artwork Requirements

Please Read Carefully

Please make sure your artwork conforms to the below requirements, this is to ensure that final printed products come out correctly and as expected.
Any errors could cause delays and may result in additional charges.

  • Any jobs that have been approved or “sent to PRINT” cannot be altered or changed due to the automated process that results from the use of the Design O Print online service action.
  • Changes, corrections and renderings are charged for (we will notify and quote you for this. Payment is due before changes take place)
  • We only accept artwork in the following formats Corel Draw; Adobe illustrator; Jpeg; Tiff or Pdf.
  • All images should be in a CMYK colour profile and a minimum of 300 dpi resolution (Design O Print is not liable for images pixelating as a result of the user providing low-resolution images). Design O Print is not responsible for any color shift that occurs in conversions from RGB to CMYK color modes. For best results, always use CMYK color spaces when creating the artwork.
  • All colours should be in CMYK.
  • Artwork needs to be supplied in the correct size with the correct bleed and type area.
  • Please see the diagrams below for reference of type are, cut line and bleed.
  • Business Cards require 3mm bleed
  • Flyers require 3mm bleed
  • Text nor logos should be closer than 3mm to the cut line
  • Artwork containing lens effects, drop shadows, embedded objects, clipped images, fill effects etc must be converted to CMYK Bitmaps or flattened.
  • No spot or Pantone colours on batch printing, we automatically convert these to CMYK, there will most likely be a colour change.
  • Small boarders cannot be Guaranteed as there is a 1mm – 2mm tolerance when batch cutting.
  • All fonts must be converted to curves or paths.
  • Avoid using fonts smaller than 7 points that consists of more than 1 process colour.
  • Artwork that doesn’t conform to our requirements will be put on hold, until the artwork meets our requirements.
  • Once artwork is correct Design O Print is under no obligation to expedite the print job.
  • Changes, corrections and renderings are charged for (we will notify and quote you for this. Payment is due before changes take place)
  • 3-7 business days (Then item will be shipped).
  • Turnaround times begin ONLY when the following criteria have been met:
  • The order has been entered, processed and transaction approved.
  • Payment has been received in the Design O Print bank account.
  • Artwork has been uploaded and approved and accepted by Design O Print
  • Production delays, weather conditions and mechanical malfunctions, etc. can sometimes cause jobs to ship late. Design O Print is not responsible for upgrading the shipping method to accommodate a missed estimated ship date.
  • If you have a time-sensitive job, it would be best to order way in advance to allow for enough time for production and delivery. At certain times of the year we are very busy which causes some delays.
